The Minister’s employment policy goals
Each year the Minister of Employment announces three national employment policy goals. The goals focus on areas which need an extra effort to reach the desired results.
In 2010 the goals are:
- Jobcentres must minimise the number of unemployed people with more than three months of continuous unemployment.
- Job centres must reduce the number of people who receive sickness benefits for more than 26 weeks, compared with the previous year.
- Job centres must minimise the number of people under the age of 30 who receive unemployment and social security benefits .
