Labour force. The National Labour Market Authority’s primary goal is to increase the supply of labour

People with disabilities. The National Labour Market Authority is working on improving the possibilities for people with disabilities to combine their disabilities with active participation in the labour market.

Recruitment from abroad. As a supplement to the recruitment of Danish labour the National Labour Market Authority helps recruit workers from abroad to sectors which have a shortage of labour. The National Labour Market Authority supports recruitment from abroad through Workindenmark and EURES (European Employment Services).

Integration. The National Labour Market Authority is working on getting more immigrants and their descendants into jobs.

Jobnet.dk is the public job centres’ internet facility for all jobseekers and employers in Denmark.

Contact and employability enhancement schemes. The National Labour Market Authority regards contact with and employability enhancement of jobseekers as tools that expands the labour force.

“A New Chance for Everyone” was an extra measure implemented from 1 July 2004 to 30 June 2008 for recipients of daily benefits and start help who had been passive for more than a year.

On the periphery of the labour market. The job centres are responsible for helping people on the periphery of the labour market to gain a foothold in the labour market. This is done through close collaboration between enterprises and the job centres to ensure a smooth and positive introduction to the labour market.

Seniors. Initiatives for seniors ensure on the one hand that unemployed seniors get a new job as fast as possible and on the other ensure that seniors leave the labour market as late as possible.

Follow-up on recipients of sickness benefits. To decrease absence due to illness the National Labour Market Authority is collaborating with the job centres and workplaces to make sure that people absent due to illness keep in contact with the labour market.

Corporate Social Responsibility. Corporate Social Responsibility is about what enterprises do voluntarily to promote an inclusive labour market.

Unemployment Insurance. The National Labour Market Authority is responsible for the majority of regulations concerning the unemployment insurance.
